S. Infantry, 23 February 1866 First Lieutenant, 28 July 1866 Captain, 1 September 1873 It is reported that he drowned in the Niagra River in New York in 1884 His private memorial in Section 1 reads: "Martinburg, Bristol Station, Brandy Station, Locust Grove, Mine Run, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Andersonville. Erected by his brother officers of the 12th United States Infantry. Died: May 28, 1884, aged 41 years."His wife, Julia Egbert Dove, who died on June 17, 1903, is buried with him. Her brother, Harry Clay Egbert, lies buried in an adjacent plot.

Enlisted 27 February, 1865 Canal Cover, Tuscarawas Co., OH and was Honorably discharged on 11 September 1865 Columbus, OH. Henry Arthur Mounts, Great Grand Son
